Thanks for the shout out, Frank! Love the Anita Bryant pie footage. Didn’t her husband end up divorcing her later? We just had a pie-throwing incident in my neck of the woods (Providence): Thomas Friedman at Brown University.
Hey Gunnar (and Sherry)-
Love the pics of Utah and this sign in particular. I was inspired to post the Anita posting from the news report of Thomas Friedman. They had mentioned other people in history who got pies and mentioned her and I looked up the YouTube footage. Her ex did divorce her and rumours were he was gay. I knew the guys who lived next door to them in Dade County and they terrorized her. Ran around in the backyard camping it up and throwing wild parties. I thank Anita for forging my early activism. Everyone deserves to be happy. Even her.
