“Bogus” or hoax websites (like The Onion) can serve as excellent tools in fostering students’ media literacy and critical evaluation skills.
The Dihydrogen Monoxide Research website is a great hoax site to spur the critical thinking skills of young scientists. I leave it up to you to decide if these theories hold any water.
