    I really like how you post the Brooklyn Eagle information with the photo. I wish they would digitize the rest of it, but the BDE as it is is quite a goldmine, isn’t it?

    It is such a shame how these beautiful industrial buildngs are left to crumble away. If there was a time machine I would be going back to 19th century Brooklyn for sure and see as much as I could.

    I actually found this nugget on the Google Books database. Found some great maps of Canarsie on the NYPL site for tomorrow’s post on Varkens Hook Road.
