In 1928, Malkind & Weinstein had nine good-sized projects under way in Brooklyn, so they were able to give their headquarters any touches they wanted, like the intricate half timbering and brick infill on the upper floors, two prowling cat figures at the roof line and a coat of arms at the second floor with the letters M and W flanking a T-square and triangle. – NY Times
