Hey Folks!

I am exhibiting some new and some old favorite photographs. The show is entitled:

Frank H. Jump- "Signs of Life"
Fading Ad Campaign and Urban EdiGlyphs

Exhibition Dates: July 3 - August 29, 1999

Gallery Hours: Tues-Sun 10AM-7PM

HERE's DOWNUnder Gallery 145 6th Avenue (corner of Dominick Street, near Spring Street stop on the E and C trains, A train on weekends)

(212) 647-0202 x308 contact: Ellen Staller

(This exhibition is funded in part by the Joe and Emily Lowe Foundation and public funds from the New York State Council on the Arts.)

The opening BBQ at HERE Performance Space/Gallery on July the Fourth was a smashing success. I met fellow photographers Don Burmeister and Phillip Buehler, whose work is also on exhibit at HERE this summer. Check out Buehler's website MODERN RUINS!

This past June, I drove cross country and aside from taking shots of some incredible fading ads, I met up with fellow ad enthusiasts on the way. I will be posting images from this trip in August with excerpts from my road journal. Hope you can make it to HERE at some point this summer.

This collection of photographs begins to illustrate how vintage mural advertisements and guerilla outdoor art interacts with nature and how they define the passing of time in our urban landscape (as in The Eaglo Paint Seasonal Quadripartite)
