My grandfather, Albert (Israel) Adelson, painted that sign. If you look at the bottom right, you can still see the \u201cConcord Co.\u201d logo. My cousin Glenn still runs Concord Painting, an offshoot started by his father, my uncle Sherman. My father, Marvin and uncles Ted & Sherman were all great tradesmen in a craft fading slowly into history. Thank you for preserving this image. My father\u2019s work still appears all over New York city as an enduring tribute, but seeing it online makes it a little easier to share with the world.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n
