Romare Bearden<\/b>\u00a0(September 2, 1911 \u2013 March 12, 1988) was an African-American artist and writer. He worked in several media including\u00a0cartoons, oils,\u00a0collage. Born in\u00a0Charlotte, North Carolina, Bearden moved to New York City at a very young age and went on to graduate from\u00a0NYU\u00a0in 1935.<\/em> – Wikipedia<\/a><\/p>\n
