He lived in The Netherlands, where he was one of the founder members of the art movement\u00a0De Stijl.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>Husz\u00e1r was born in\u00a0Budapest,\u00a0Hungary. He emigrated to The Netherlands in 1905, settling at first in\u00a0Voorburg. He was influenced by\u00a0Cubism\u00a0and\u00a0Futurism. He met other influential artists including\u00a0Piet Mondrian\u00a0and\u00a0Theo van Doesburg, both central figures in establishing the De Stijl movement with Husz\u00e1r in 1917. Husz\u00e1r also co-founded the\u00a0De Stijl\u00a0magazine\u00a0and designed the cover for the first issue.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>In 1926 he created a complete visual identity for\u00a0Miss Blanche Virginia\u00a0cigarettes, which included\u00a0packaging,\u00a0advertising, andpoint of sale displays. The concept drew on the imagery associated with the emergent &#8220;New Women&#8221;, or\u00a0Flappers. The Flappers were perceived as young, single, urban, and employed, with independent ideas and a certain disdain for authority and social norms.
