“FACT OR OPINION?” — nearly always a good question, but “left-wing look”? I don’t get that reference, since the political right is usually more resistant to evidence-based scientific reasoning than the left. (I assume that’s your point.) Anyway, the left, of course, has its own blind myths and sacred cows, unfortunately, but that seems to be human nature.

BTW, your photos are wonderful. Thank you!
In some ways they are like gravestone rubbings. They also remind me of scientific analysis of old paintings, where they illuminate them with ultraviolet, x-ray them, make spectrograms, etc.

I guess to put “left wing” in context, when HIV was first discovered to be the agent of “the syndrome” many on the far left were skeptical. There was the air of conspiracy going on in the AIDS community and since it was the Reagan Era, this conspiracy would have been perpetrated by the right. HIV seemed to have been a “right wing” discovery- the virus “we” – gay men – were responsible for spreading. Also, Gary Null – being a natural remedy promoter – falls into the left of center school of thought of the 60s.

Yes in today’s anti-intellectual creationist political theatre (thank you Sarah) the doubt about HIV would have been a right-wing reaction. I SO agree about the blind myths on the left. Dogma is dogma, right or left. Centrist dogma seems to have eluded me. Oh yeah – Yes We Can. But after a week like we’ve had in the Senate, I’m reluctant to doubt we can. I see the repeal of DADT a triumph but since I am anti-militarism, it is a bittersweet one. I edited the comment to show a strikethrough.

Thanks for the compliment. These images are x-rays that reveal popular trends of consumers and evidence of demographic and paradigm shifts. Once you notice them, you see the world differently. Thank you for stopping by Peter. Best, Frank
