I immediately thought last evening that the emergency landing of US Airways Flight 1549 is a metaphor for the United States and Obama is the pilot. Can he safely land with two engines out- our economy in shambles and our dubious reputation abroad? Well of course after doing a search for this metaphor, it has also come to the minds of many.
