Tribute to Rodger McFarlane – Homo Sex in Colonial America – Larry Kramer

Homo Sex in Colonial America

Homo Sex in Colonial America

This is the last piece I had input on from my just departed dearly beloved Rodger McFarlane, who read and critiqued everything I have ever written. He loved it, as he loved me. And I pass it on to you, to the world, in memory of him, who encouraged me so and believed in me so, as I did him.

May he be at peace.

A staggering loss. Rodger gave so much, graciously, with style and strength. Eloquent, charismatic, witty – a natural leader. Gifted compromiser, a win-winner supreme. His gifts to humanity numerous and highly significant.
The decision to quietly end his intolerable suffering – a final testament to his resolute judgment.
RIP you great man, you are tremendously missed. Our sympathies to Larry, family, friends, and the numerous groups suffering the void of leadership and compassion Rodger’s passing leaves.

Richard- Rodger was a sweetheart. We had many laughs during the early ACT UP years. I’ll forward your condolences to Larry.
